This episode is all about reflecting on the crazy year that was 2020, and looking ahead to 2021.

Looking back, we discuss what went according to plan, what didn’t, what went well, how life changed, and which changes we’d keep. Looking forward, we discuss whether it’s even worth setting goals for the new year, what those goals may be, as well as some things we’d like to learn or explore further.

We also talk about planning tools that we’ve used in the past and want to try in 2021.

Mentioned in this episode:

My next online course – Winter Landscapes

Design Matters TV

Moleskine Journals

Do What You Love for Life

Getting Things Done by David Allen (“GTD”)

43 Folders

Art Juice podcast

Seth Godin

Bullet Journals

Cambridge Open Studios

The Way/Camino de Santiago

Fabric Love

Other useful tools include Trello, which we both use to plan this podcast, and Dingbats journals, which we’re going to try out for our bullet journals. We’ll report back this time next year to let you know how we get on! Meanwhile, you can find me right here, and Gina here.

I’ve never listened to any podcasts before but started listening to yours yesterday and love it!! I am a fan of the work that both of you do anyway (follow you both on fb) and I’m signed up to do Izzy’s Course, Winter Landscape.

Can you tell me how to subscribe please?

  2. Isobel says:

Hello Hil! Sorry, I’ve just found your comment – you for listening! To subscribe to your podcast, go to your podcast platform of choice (e.g. Spotify or iTunes podcasts) find the In Stitches podcast, then there will be a button to click to Follow or Subscribe. If you go to the Anchor site for us, there are little buttons for the different podcast platforms where you can listen, so you can choose one from there. I use Spotify, Gina uses iTunes. I can’t see iTunes listen there, but we are on it!
