Do you ever find yourself saying yes when actually, secretly, you want to say no? Why is it so hard to say no? In this episode we talk why it’s hard, and what can make it (slightly) easier.

If you want to read more about this, I’ve written a blog post here.

Mentioned in this episode:

Ramster Embroidery Exhibition

London Drawing Group

Newlyn Art School

What Are You Looking At – 150 Years of Modern Art

The events in Ukraine are horrifying, but there have been some inspiring moments amidst it all:

President Zelensky

Servant of the People

Ukrainian woman confronts armed Russian soldier

Farmer steals Russian tank

Things I should probably say No to, but they’re fun to watch:

Like many others the other week during Storm Eunice, I found myself glued to Big Jet TV

And if you like planes and flying, or even if you don’t, Mentour pilot is very watchable! Apparently people with a fear of flying have been reassured by watching his videos.

You can Gina and more about what she’s up to here.

The music is Dear Autumn by Ikson.

  1. Gill Pain says:

Only last week I said I’m 68 and I don’t want to do this’ but why did I feel so guilty afterwards that I went back and said ‘of course I will help when you need it, and I will still proofread’.

    1. Isobel says:

It’s a tough one, no denying it. It takes courage to say No – but usually, people are very understanding and reality usually isn’t as bad as our imaginations.
